Being content with out having so may things.

A woman of contentment is aware of her needs and what God has already supplied to meet them. ~Priscilla Shirer

Wow if I only had read this years ago. She is so right. Now that I am content with my life I know that God will provide for my needs. This is all I need. My prayer for all women is that they will all feel this feeling of contentment that I feel. I remember the days that I didn’t feel content with my life. I kept thinking that oh if I just had this much more money I would be happy if my husband did this for me I would be happy and so on and so on. Do you think any of these things made me happy? NOPE!!

read these verses

1 Timothy 6:6-10

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

These verses change a lot for me.  I think of all the grief I have saved myself from by understanding these verses.

Hebrews 13:5

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”[a]

I read this and it gives me the sense of content every time.I know that when I trust in God he will provide for me and my family.

The choice my husband and I made when we decided that I would stay home, raise our children and homeschool was made so much easier for us to make when we understood these verses. We knew on paper that the money was not working so we cut back on things make a new budget. It took some time getting used to but now it is just second nature. I am happier now then I ever was and we just make it each month. God provides for us in so many ways. The biggest way is that when we pray for piece of mind we get it.

I pray that if you are thinking about staying at home and think you just can’t because the finances are not there I am here to tell you that you can! I know that there are some situations that not every mother can stay home with their babies and be keeper of the home. I also know that this is what God has asked of use and we need to ask Him to help us get to that point and He will if you trust in Him. It may take a few weeks to a couple of years but don’t you think that it is worth it? You children and your husband and your home is worth it!!

HOME HOME HOME!!

I’m back!!! Well back at home! I am so happy to be back. Trying to work (fulltime) outside the home while homeschooling, taking care of all the needs of my family of 6 and the needs of my home was just to hard for me. I Truly did try but God just kept telling me this is not what I am to do. I just kept hearing Him say to me "Trust me, My child”. I need not only to say I trust Him with everything but  really TRUST HIM with everything! Hopefully life will get back to normal soon. I will be looking for something to help out with some cash flow. I have been asked to make more cloth diapers so we will see what that brings. God will provide I know He will I just need to listen better.

God Bless,

Jen

Sigh…………

I am struggling at work not only just because of the fact I have to be away from my family but I feel like I am not following Gods laws for dressing. I just do not feel comfortable in pants at all. I am a woman and I want to dress like one. Also when I where my head covering I get all kinds of looks. So I am trying to find something to where that is not so well not “normal”.  I am sure I will figure it out then my stent of working will be over. I know this may sound silly but it is just the way it my mind works and worries.

Working outside the home…….

I started a new adventure this last month which was working outside the home. I am very sad about this. Our lives have changed so much in the last few weeks. We are making it work. I know that this is not permanent which helps me a lot each day when I go in to work.

I know that my place is here at the home with my children but life takes different turns which make us have to do things we don’t want to do. I am still doing all that I normally do which is being mother, helpmeet for my husband, a homeschool teacher and now a full time worker. I am praying for guidance each day to know where to go. I know I need to work for a while but when God tells me I need to quit I will.

Do not take this a me whining because I am not. I love my life right now I am not very pleased with the situation but I am still happy. God has provided for us always and I prayed about this for a while to decide to work or not to work and I left it in Gods hands right when I thought that I was not supposed to work God showed me that it would be the smartest thing for me to do. So I am not upset at any of this.

Lord, I ask for you to be in my heart daily on this path that I am on right now. I ask that you will help me to always have a loving heart as I am working while I am at work and also when I come home. I pray for my family that they will grow in this time and learn to work together and love each other with all of their hearts. Lord I also pray for all of the mothers that have to work outside their homes that one day they will be able to do what you have planed for us as mothers. Lord I also pray for you to help open up the hearts of my coworkers to seeing what  a women of faith is like and how happy You make me and that I may be able to help show them the way to you. I thank you for every blessing you have given me. in Jesus name , Amen
